Installing the Microsoft 365 Suite (formally Office)
Purpose
Microsoft 365 (aka Office) consists of a suite of applications and services. Many of these apps can be used on the web, but this guide will cover essential applications that are can be downloaded to your Windows or macOS device. Apps downloaded in this guide are Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, Access (Windows-only), and Outlook.
Downloading the M365 Suite
Step 1
Login to Cardinal Apps with your UIW email and password.

Step 2
Click the 'Waffle' icon in the upper left corner of the Cardinal Apps homepage.
Step 3
Click on the 'Microsoft 365' prompt.
Step 4
Click on the 'Install apps' button in the upper right, and then select the 'Microsoft 365 apps' option.
Step 5
Your file will immediately start to download. M365 will give you a 'Get started' pop up with instructions to open and use the installer.
Depending on your internet speed, the download might take anywhere from seconds to several minutes. The macOS installer takes a while to download, while the Windows installer is quick.
Step 6
Once the installer has finished downloading, locate it within your 'Downloads' area on your computer and open it to start the installation process.
Use the Installer prompts to click through and install Microsoft 365
When you finish installing the M365 suite, you might be asked to 'Sign in to set up/activate' any of the Microsoft apps. If prompted, always use your UIW email and password to login to Microsoft apps.
