View an EchoVideo Livestream in Canvas
Some departments or programs may configure classes to be live-streamed in real time. Watching a live class is nearly the same experience as a pre-recorded (or video-on-demand) class. The main differences are:
- The live stream cannot be rewound or fast-forwarded; it is happening in real time. You can show or hide the stream, and you can mute the stream.
- Due to your network connection speed, your live playback may fall behind real-time events (potentially becoming out of sync), in which case, a "catch up" button will become available.
To access a live stream in EchoVideo:
-
Log in to Cardinal Apps and open Canvas LMS.
- Navigate to the course being live-streamed.
- Open EchoVideo.
- Find the class with the Live button next to the title, and select the class to open the livestream.
- Select "Show Live Stream"
