Why disable downloads in EchoVideo?

By default, students might have the option to download EchoVideo content from the Canvas app. This might be beneficial if your students or course participants want to reference the content offline. If you would like to restrict this for your course, follow this guide.

Step 1

Login to Cardinal Apps and open the Canvas LMS app.

Step 4

Click on 'Features' in the left side menu. Then, turn off the 'Class Content downloads' option. Off is when the circle is on the left side of the toggle, as pictured.

If you'd like to keep downloads on, but limit downloads to audio only, you may select the 'Audio-only downloads'.

If you'd like to allow students to download video content outside the course' start/end date, turn on the 'Out of term downloads' option.
