Set up Cardinal Apps Multifactor using Microsoft Authenticator App To add a new Multifactor Authentication option, click > MyMFA If you are a VPN user you MUST have your "Default sign- in method" Set to the Microsoft Authenticator. 1. Sign in with your UIW email address > Click Next > Click Next 2. If prompted, Sign in with your UIW credentials 3. You will be prompted to start the setup process. Click "+ Add Method" 4. Choose Authenticator App from the Drop Down Menu > Click Add 5. Click Next 6. Move over to your Cell Phone and open up the App Store7. Search Microsoft Authenticator > Install the App > Open the App 8. Once the App opens, Agree to the Privacy Statement9. On the next screen, Click on Scan a QR Code 10. Return to your computer and complete the process11. Click Next 12. Aim your phone at the QR Code on the screen and let it Scan 13. Microsoft Authenticator will send a prompt to your phone to Approve 14. Approve the Pop up on Your Cell Phone > You will now see a green check that the Notification was Approved15. Click Next 16. Click "+ Add Method" Again to add a 2nd Method.17. Choose Phone and Enter a Phone number to be used as the 2nd method for Authentication18. Click Next 19. Check your phone for the Code20. Enter Code21. Click Next22. SMS will be verified > Click Next 23. Your account is now Secure! > Click Done
