Visible Body, or VB, has a library of over 24,000 visual assets across a suite of applications, including full male and female 3D gross anatomy models, micro-anatomy models, moving muscle action models, physiology animations, pathology visualizations, illustrations, and cadaver images paired with CT or MRI scans. These apps are available at no cost to UIW personnel, but to access them you'll need a Visible Body account. Some things to note regarding account creation:

  • Your account only needs to be created once. 
  • You must create your Visible Body account through the dedicated UIW Visible Body portal found in this guide or on the HPS library sites. Using a link found by searching Google will not grant you access to Visible Body.


To create a Visible Body account:

  1. Launch the UIW Visible Body portal.
    • If prompted, sign in with your Cardinal Apps email and password.
  2. Click "Don't have an account? Sign up"
  3. Enter your information. Make sure to use your UIW email address.
  4. Click Sign Up.

In-Depth Walkthrough

Step 1

Launch the dedicated UIW Visible Body portal. The portal is only for UIW personnel, so you may be prompted to log in with your Cardinal Apps email and password.

Underneath the Sign in with. Google option, choose "Don't have an Account? Sign Up"



Step 3

Fill in your account information. Make sure to use your UIW email address on this page. When you're ready, click Sign Up to proceed.



Step 4

If there were no issues with your chosen password or account creation, you'll see a "Thank you for choosing Visible Body" page. Click on the "Go to Web Suite" button to enter the VB portal for the first time.

If you don't see this page and are asked to subscribe, you may not have used the UIW link in Step 1. Make sure to use the VB login portal link found here in this guide.*
