Canvas Course Accessibility Report
The Canvas course accessibility report provides instructors a score and feedback for addressing digital accessibility. This guide explains how to access your course report and review the indicators of flagged content to help you achieve 100%.
Step 1: Access Accessibility Report
Locate the Accessibility Report link in your Course Menu. The link is available in your course shell by default. If you import course content from an older course, your link may no longer be visible. Add the link back by clicking on your course Settings link, then Navigation, to enable the Accessibility Report - don't forget to scroll down and save your changes.

Step 2: Browse the Dashboard and Issue Indicators
Once open, you will see your dashboard and overall course score. Your goal is 100%, but even 100% can still have some minor issues. Scroll down to see the list of issues in your course.

Step 3: Drill Down to Learn and Plan Remediation
The accessibility report is a training tool to help you identify what issues your content has. It does not fix it for you. Scroll down to investigate your next steps.
For example, in the Canvas Orientation course there are four images flagged for contrast issues. After diving in, I learn these are screen shots of various parts of Canvas and they are marked decorative. The course designer wrote text content so that the images do not bear the responsibility of delivering information. This means the report is raising awareness of an issue that was addressed responsibly in another digitally accessible way.
