Annotate PDFs In OneDrive and SharePoint
You can quickly add hand-drawn ink to documents directly within OneDrive or SharePoint, perfect for casually filling out details, annotating with a digital pen, or making other quick edits. This feature also supports filling out PDFs with interactive forms. With these tools, you can efficiently manage and save your edited documents without leaving the space they reside, combining convenience with environmental benefits. While dedicated e-signing tools like Adobe Sign are better for formal contracts and tracking, these features are ideal for more casual document needs.
To annotate a document in OneDrive or SharePoint:

Log in to Cardinal Apps.
- Open the desired PDF you'd like to annotate in OneDrive or SharePoint.
- Select Edit and make your changes to the document.
- Select Save to save the document.

In-Depth Walkthrough
Step 1: Open OneDrive or SharePoint
Log in to Cardinal Apps and open either OneDrive or SharePoint.
Step 2: Open the PDF and Launch Edit Mode
Navigate to the PDF you want to annotate and open it. When the PDF file opens, the viewer will appear with options to share, edit, download, etc. Choose Edit to enter Edit mode.

Step 3: Annotate Your Document
After selecting Edit, use the toolbar, located towards the left of the document, to apply markup to the document. You have the following options at your disposal:

Display cursor: Displays the document without an editing tool.

Text Tool: Overlay a Text box to the document.

Pen Tool: Write over the document with a pen-like tool.

Highlighter: Write over the document with a transparent, highlighter-like tool.

Eraser: Undo or remote annotations on the document.

Step 4: Save Your Changes
When finished, ensure the Save button is selected.

OneDrive and SharePoint Annotations FAQ
Can I change the properties of the pen, highlighter, or text that appears?
- For the pen and highlighter tools, long-press the option on the toolbar to access color and thickness settings. Long-press: click and hold without raising the finger to see the menu.

- For Text, use the toolbar found above any inserted text box to adjust the color and size of the text.
