Microsoft Teams Lobby - Don't Get Stuck

The MS Teams meeting lobby, also called a waiting room, requires people be admitted into the meeting before they can participate. This feature can be managed in Meeting options Security settings when the meeting is scheduled. By default, Who can bypass the lobby? is set to People in my org.

While the lobby works great for meeting security, an organizer can get themselves stuck in the lobby of their own meeting if they don't sign in with their UIW account.

Assess your situation before you click Join Now.
Do not type your name or you will end up in the lobby needing to be admitted to your own meeting.
Instead of typing your name, look to the bottom of the window to find the sign in link and use your UIW email.
If you find yourself stuck in the lobby, leave the meeting then join again ensuring you sign in.
