Review Testing Expectations
- Ensure you have a reliable Internet connection in a location where you won't be interrupted.
- Before starting a test, know how much time is available for it and that you've allotted sufficient time to complete it.
- Turn off all mobile devices, phones, etc., and don't have them within reach.
- Clear your area of all external materials, including books, notes, papers, other computers, or devices.
- Remain at your desk or workstation for the duration of the test.
- LDB prevents you from accessing other websites or applications; you can exit after all questions are completed and the quiz is submitted.
Install LockDown Browser
Install Lockdown Browser on your computer before your next quiz to avoid technical issues:
- Option 1 (Recommended): Take a practice quiz to be prompted to install LDB and get familiar with the experience.
- Option 2: Download LDB with this UIW-specific LDB link.
Use the Help Center
- Locate the Help Center? button inside LDB to run a diagnostic of your system, perform a webcam check, or browse resources. You can use the Help Center any time before beginning your quiz or after submitting a quiz.
Take Your Quiz
- Launch LDB on your computer. LDB will guide you to close all open applications, sign into Canvas with your UIW credentials, and then navigate to your course to take your quiz.
