Why use EchoVideo to store content?
EchoVideo offers employees and students at the Health Profession Schools (HPS) an alternative way store and share video content. Benefits of using EchoVideo include:
- All videos uploaded to EchoVideo will automatically have a transcript and closed captioning applied.
- EchoVideo is integrated into Canvas and offers a streamlined menu to share content with class participants.
- Videos can be organized with other files into 'Collections' which can be shared.
- Unlimited storage space.
- Can hold various file formats, not just video files
Step 1
Login to Cardinal Apps and click on the EchoVideo app.
Step 2
Toward the top of the page, click on the Create button and choose the Upload Media option from the drop-down menu.
Step 3
Either drag and drop a file into the window, or click on the 'Select Files to Upload' prompt to manually search your device for a file to upload.
Alternatively, you can choose any of the options found on the left to login and pull files from other services.
Step 4
Upload as many files as you'd like, and when you're ready, click on the Upload button

Step 5
Once you're upload is finished, you'll see a Success notification. Close this and proceed to your library.
Depending on your network connection and size of the file, your upload might take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes.
